Network Acquisition Specialist Graduate - Data Center Development
Overview
You will own the acquisition of co-location and network connectivity for ByteDance's AMS&EU region, supporting hyper-scale data centers and edge networks. You will work with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word to analyze markets, manage supplier pools, and support contract coordination. You will collaborate with Strategy, Planning, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams to shape acquisition strategy. This role offers a direct path to a career at the intersection of technical infrastructure and commercial strategy, with mentorship from senior negotiators and exposure to bold projects.
What You'll Do8
- 1Identify and evaluate infrastructure resources like co-location, dark fiber, transport network, and IP connectivity to meet traffic demand.
- 2Support commercial and technical discussions with candidate suppliers under senior negotiators' guidance.
- 3Coordinate supplier agreements and contracts with cross-functional teams to track milestones and deliverables.
- 4Contribute to acquisition strategy for short, mid, and long-term planning.
- 5Collaborate with Strategy, Planning, Engineering, Legal, and Finance teams to support shared goals.
- 6Conduct market research to build intelligence on suppliers and industry trends.
- 7Support supplier onboarding and maintain relationship records throughout the lifecycle.
- 8Nurture supplier relationships for long-term strategic partnerships.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's or Master's degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 20-2 years of coursework, internship, or project experience in infrastructure, telecom, data centers, or supply chain/sourcing.
- 3Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- 4Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable with cross-functional teams.
- 5Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; willingness to learn Jira and contract management platforms.
- 6Internship or academic project experience touching data centers, ISPs, CDNs, IX providers, or edge co-location.
- 7Exposure to basic contract or negotiation concepts through coursework or internships.
- 8Interest in developing commercial and technical acumen for infrastructure decision-making.
