What You'll Do11
- 1Design and implement firewall VPN switch DNS DHCP and Linux client configurations
- 2Secure and maintain end‑user and server systems from procurement to decommissioning
- 3Coordinate with service providers to integrate identity management and networking services
- 4Configure and manage firewalls VPNs switches and isolated development environments
- 5Conduct cybersecurity posture assessments and remediate findings per NIST SP 800‑53 Rev 5
- 6Develop and maintain security documentation including system plans network diagrams and incident reports
- 7Establish baselines and configurations that satisfy NASA operational standards
- 8Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
- 9Provide hands‑on support and troubleshoot systems to meet mission requirements
- 10Utilize ticketing tools like Jira to track and prioritize tasks
- 11Automate repetitive tasks with Bash PowerShell Python scripts
Requirements11
- 1Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering or related field
- 2US citizenship required
- 3Minimum 5 years Linux administration RHEL Ubuntu networking cybersecurity
- 4Strong knowledge of operating systems networking storage firewalls VPNs and security concepts
- 5Ability to document configurations clearly and write accurate technical documentation
- 6Effective written and verbal communication with technical and stakeholder audiences
- 7Proficiency with Git version control and collaboration platforms
- 8Familiarity with cloud services AWS Kubernetes and container orchestration
- 9Experience with ticketing systems Jira ServiceNow or similar
- 10Desire for graduate‑level coursework or research in information systems or cybersecurity
- 11Familiarity with NASA DoD security frameworks such as FISMA and NIST SP 800‑53
