What You'll Do5
- 1Design and execute individualized music therapy plans that align with patient goals and hospice philosophy
- 2Reduce symptoms such as anxiety depression and isolation using evidence‑based musical techniques
- 3Educate clinical staff on appropriate music therapy applications and contraindications
- 4Document all sessions and coordinate care notes within 24 hours of each appointment
- 5Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal regulations including HIPAA and universal precaution
Requirements5
- 15+ years experience as a Board Certified Music Therapist working in hospice or palliative settings
- 2Expert proficiency with at least one musical instrument and familiarity with AWS cloud platforms for secure data storage
- 3Strong knowledge of hospice care principles and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- 4Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required for on‑site duties
- 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with patients families and clinicians
