Overview
Mercor is looking for experienced music professionals to help evaluate and improve generative music AI systems in partnership with a leading AI lab. You'll listen to AI-generated tracks across many genres and score them on key quality factors, using Telugu and English. This is a fully remote, task-based gig where your ear and musical knowledge directly shape how AI learns to create better music.
What You'll Do4
- 1Compare AI-generated music side by side and rate it on musicality, originality, how well it follows the prompt, vocal quality, and overall production or mix polish
- 2Label each song in detail using a set structure, including genre and sub-genre, arrangement, vocal and instrumental elements
- 3Check how well the AI's lyrics and vocal delivery stack up against reference recordings
- 4Rate the quality of the music data used to train the AI models
Requirements4
- 1Native or near-native Telugu skills, plus the ability to follow detailed instructions written in English
- 2Professional or semi-professional music experience in one of two tracks: production (3+ years as a producer, audio engineer, or mixer) or music and language (deep knowledge of the Telugu music scene as a songwriter, lyricist, performer, composer, or journalist)
- 3A decent pair of headphones or studio monitors for careful listening
- 4Formal music training or released Telugu music is a bonus but not required
