Mobile SDET (iOS) - Test Automation Engineer
Overview
Lead test automation across the iOS app portfolio. Build and maintain scalable frameworks with XCUITest and Swift. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve release quality. Reduce test flakiness and drive best practices. This role reports directly to the QA Director and influences tooling decisions.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and maintain UI automation frameworks using XCUITest and Swift.
- 2Design and implement automated test suites for critical user journeys in the first 90 days.
- 3Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or GitLab CI.
- 4Diagnose and fix flaky tests to improve reliability.
- 5Partner with iOS developers to design testable features.
- 6Drive adoption of test automation best practices across the team.
- 7Monitor test results and report quality metrics to stakeholders.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in mobile test automation, with 2+ years focused on iOS.
- 2Strong proficiency in Swift and XCTest.
- 3Hands-on experience with XCUITest for UI testing.
- 4Experience with Appium or Detox for cross-platform automation.
- 5Familiarity with Charles Proxy or Wireshark for network debugging.
- 6Knowledge of Xcode and Instruments for performance testing.
- 7Experience with Bitrise or CircleCI for mobile CI/CD.
- 8Solid understanding of the iOS app lifecycle and memory management.
Salary Insight
$2 - $162k per year
