API Automation Engineer, Java & XCUITest
Overview
You will own API and UI automation for Java-based test suites across iOS and Android devices, working 5 days onsite in Cupertino. You will integrate XCUITest frameworks to validate device behavior and drive test strategy with a cross-functional team. This role demands hands-on coding and a proactive mindset, with direct impact on product quality.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and build Java automation frameworks for API and UI testing on iOS and Android platforms.
- 2Develop and maintain XCUITest scripts to automate device-level interactions and edge cases.
- 3Execute test suites on real devices, debug failures, and report defects with clear reproduction steps.
- 4Collaborate with developers and QA to define test coverage and integrate automation into CI pipelines.
- 5Drive the first 90 days by expanding API coverage and reducing regression cycle time.
- 6Optimize test execution by parallelizing suites across simulators and physical devices.
Requirements6
- 13-5 years of experience in Java automation for APIs and UI.
- 2Expert proficiency with XCUITest for iOS device testing.
- 3Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and Playwright for web or hybrid app automation.
- 4Strong knowledge of Python and Swift for building and extending test utilities.
- 5Proven ability to test on real devices and simulators for both iOS and Android.
- 6Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
