Mission Manager, Satellite Operations
Overview
KSAT seeks a Mission Manager to lead satellite operations in Denver. This role owns the mission lifecycle and coordinates cross-team efforts. The ideal candidate will act as Flight Director and mentor the ops team while reporting to the US Satellite Operations Lead.
What You'll Do11
- 1Act as Flight Director during mission phases
- 2Own spacecraft mission lifecycle from contract award to end of mission
- 3Coordinate deliverables across internal and external teams
- 4Manage ground system requirements and verification processes
- 5Lead anomaly investigations and vehicle/ground software testing
- 6Mentor and train the satellite operations team
- 7Identify process improvements for automation and efficiency
- 8Support on-console and on-call shifts
- 9Report progress and deliverables to customers
- 10Collaborate with US Satellite Operations Lead on satellite programs
- 11Ensure mission readiness for launch and post-launch operations
Requirements9
- 17+ years of satellite operations experience
- 25+ years with tools like Confluence Sharepoint Grafana
- 33+ years technical program management in aerospace
- 4Excellent communication under pressure
- 5Previous experience with spacecraft AI&T
- 6International partnership experience
- 7Work with US Government spacecraft
- 8Familiarity with CUI handling and clearance requirements
- 9Ability to travel 10% of time

$110 - $140k per year
