You will own the finishing line for aluminum and stainless steel components, delivering 2+ years of grinding and polishing expertise to a growing manufacturing team in Rogers, MN. You will grind, polish, and sand metal parts to meet exacting quality standards, inspecting every piece before it ships. Working alongside a collaborative production crew, you will maintain consistent finishes and a safe, organized workspace. What You'll Do8
- 1Grind aluminum and stainless steel components to remove imperfections, wielding angle grinders and die grinders with precision.
- 2Polish and sand metal parts to achieve specified finish levels, using abrasive belts, flap discs, and sandpaper.
- 3Inspect completed work against quality standards, checking for surface defects, dimensional accuracy, and finish consistency.
- 4Operate finishing tools and equipment safely, adhering to all OSHA guidelines and company protocols.
- 5Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of metal shavings and debris to prevent hazards.
- 6Support production schedules by meeting daily output targets and assisting with additional shop duties as needed.
- 7Report equipment malfunctions or quality issues to supervisors immediately, documenting any discrepancies.
- 8Collaborate with team members to hit production goals, sharing best practices for stainless steel and aluminum finishing.
Requirements9
- 12+ years of hands-on experience finishing aluminum and/or stainless steel components.
- 2High School Diploma or GED.
- 3Strong attention to detail, with a proven ability to produce consistent, high-quality finishes.
- 4Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- 5Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- 6Willingness to work overtime and assist with various shop tasks.
- 7Ability to repeatedly lift up to 75 pounds.
- 8Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
- 9Manual dexterity to safely operate grinding and finishing equipment.
Salary Insight
