The Metal Fabricator at Flow Control Group leads fabrication and assembly of aluminum structures. This hands-on role involves cutting stock and assembling components according to CAD specifications. The position supports quality and consistency in production environments.
What You'll Do14
- 1Cut aluminum stock to length using large saws and precision cutting tools
- 2Precision fully automatic saw system
- 3Jet Drill/mill for precision drilling
- 4Drill tap and deburr materials as needed
- 5Hand taping with pneumatic drilling
- 6Assemble components to match CAD design specifications
- 7Read and interpret CAD drawings and technical blueprints
- 8Identify dimensions tolerances and material specifications
- 9Operate hand tools drill press chop saw and other shop equipment
- 10Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
- 11Communicate with engineers and project managers to clarify designs
- 12Recommend improvements in fabrication techniques or tooling
- 13Fabricate and assemble aluminum structures per design specs
- 14Ensure final assembly quality aligns with customer and engineering requirements
Requirements6
- 12+ years of experience in fabrication assembly or machining
- 2Proficiency in reading technical drawings
- 3Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- 4Experience operating saws drill presses and hand tools
- 5Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
- 6Familiarity with CAD software is a plus but not required
