Merchandising Assistant, Retail Support & Inventory
Overview
This role provides clerical and administrative support to the merchandising function for brick-and-mortar and online store operations at AAFES. You will own the day-to-day coordination of product data, purchase orders, and vendor communications across a multi-channel retail environment. Working alongside buyers and category managers, you will ensure accurate product information flows through PIM and RMS. This position offers a clear path to advanced buying and merchandising roles within a major retail organization.
What You'll Do8
- 1Maintain and update product information in PIM to support online and brick-and-mortar merchandising.
- 2Process purchase orders and track order status in RMS to ensure timely delivery.
- 3Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies in inventory and pricing.
- 4Generate weekly sales and inventory reports using MicroStrategy.
- 5Support buyers in preparing product presentations and markdown strategies.
- 6Audit catalog data in ACS3 and Walker systems to ensure accuracy.
- 7Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation across store locations.
- 8Document and archive merchandising records in compliance with AAFES policies.
Requirements6
- 11+ years of general clerical, administrative, or customer service experience.
- 2Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.
- 3Preferred: Prior experience with purchasing, procurement, contracting, or inventory management.
- 4Preferred: Familiarity with ACS3, BWS, MicroStrategy, PIM, RMS, or Walker systems.
- 5Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- 6Ability to work on-site in Dallas, TX.
