Merchandiser Job in Naperville, IL | Jacent Strategic Merchandising
Overview
You will own retail merchandising execution across 17,000+ stores, placing impulse products and building displays that drive sales. You will work with in-store management to implement plan-o-grams and resets, using clip strips and J-hooks to maximize product visibility. This role offers 10-20 hours per week with daytime hours and paid training, plus mileage and travel time reimbursement. You will be the face of Jacent in your community, delivering legendary service and building lasting relationships.
What You'll Do8
- 1Cultivate relationships with in-store management to ensure smooth merchandising operations.
- 2Execute merchandising resets accurately using plan-o-grams and store-specific layouts.
- 3Build retail displays that attract shopper attention and drive impulse purchases.
- 4Merchandise impulse items on clip strips and J-hooks to maximize product exposure.
- 5Stand and walk for 3-8 hours per shift while lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive hand movements.
- 6Navigate changing store environments and adapt to new layouts and product placements.
- 7Communicate effectively with store personnel and report any issues or opportunities to the supervisor.
- 8Manage your schedule to cover assigned stores within 15 miles of Naperville, including Aurora and West Chicago.
Requirements8
- 11+ year of merchandising or retail experience preferred but not required.
- 2Ability to stand and walk for 3-8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
- 3Comfortable with crouching, bending, twisting, and repetitive hand movements.
- 4Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and store visits.
- 5Strong communication skills to build relationships with business partners.
- 6Reside within 15 miles of Naperville, IL 60563, and willing to service Aurora and West Chicago, IL 60185.
- 7Self-starter who works independently and thrives in a team setting.
- 8Must be able to work 10-20 hours per week with daytime availability.
