Member of Technical Staff, Forward Deployed (US Gov) | $40-$60/hr Remote
Overview
A forward deployed engineering role focused on applying AI for mission-critical government work. You’ll move ideas from prototype to production, building agentic systems, LLM apps, and scalable data pipelines in high assurance environments. The position blends hands-on development with direct collaboration with government partners to turn needs into capable tech solutions.
What You'll Do6
- 1Architect and deploy agentic AI solutions that support high-stakes government missions from concept to live systems
- 2Design and integrate LLM driven applications including multi-agent setups, tool-using agents, RAG workflows, and human-in-the-loop autonomy
- 3Collaborate directly with government clients in forward-deployed contexts to translate mission requirements into robust technical architectures
- 4Construct and maintain large scale data curation and evaluation pipelines to train and refine models
- 5Develop infrastructure to support model inference, experimentation, evaluation, and deployment across advanced AI platforms
- 6Own end-to-end system lifecycle including discovery, architecture, implementation, deployment, reliability, security, and iteration

- 1Strong Python development experience with full ownership of projects
- 2Hands-on work with LLMs and building agentic systems
- 3Experience building or maintaining data pipelines and ML infrastructure
- 4Familiarity with RL/workflows or simulation environments
- 5Comfort operating in high-security, high-reliability settings
