Overview
As a Medication Technician at Ivy Living, you will own medication administration for residents of our premier senior living community in San Francisco. You will coordinate directly with pharmacies, physicians, and residents to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery. Working within a supportive team, you will also assist with personal care and encourage resident engagement. What You'll Do6
- 1Prepare and distribute medications to residents according to prescribed orders and facility protocols.
- 2Coordinate medication services with residents, pharmacies, and physicians to ensure seamless care.
- 3Order and track all medication changes, refills, and deliveries with pharmacies.
- 4Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential resident medication and care records using MS Office tools.
- 5Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
- 6Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
Requirements8
- 11+ year experience assisting with medication at a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) preferred.
- 2Completion of state-required training/certification for medication technicians.
- 3Must be at least 18 years of age.
- 4High school diploma or equivalent; LVN license is a plus.
- 5Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) for record-keeping and communication.
- 6Excellent customer service skills with a strong desire to work with the elderly.
- 7Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
- 8Must pass criminal background check and health screening, including physical and TB tests.
