What You'll Do10
- 1Greet patients upon arrival
- 2Drive assigned vehicles to dispatch-requested locations
- 3Operate wheelchair lifts safely and provide escort
- 4Verify wheelchair condition before each use
- 5Clean wheelchairs after each assignment
- 6Assist customers with mobility devices during boarding
- 7Maintain knowledge of Chicago area hospitals and contracted accounts
- 8Follow Rural Transit Assistance safety protocols
- 9Complete required driver training programs
- 10Pass state background checks and drug screenings
Requirements7
- 1Excellent customer service abilities
- 2Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods
- 3Experience pushing wheelchairs over long distances
- 4Capacity to handle wheelchairs exceeding 150 pounds
- 5Valid Illinois driver's license
- 6Completion of HFS Driver/Attendant Safety Training
- 7Background check clearance
