What You'll Do11
- 1Schedule, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments according to VA guidelines
- 2Greet Veterans and provide professional customer service
- 3Answer and route telephone calls courteously
- 4Coordinate Community Care referrals and authorizations
- 5Process consults using HealthShare Referral Manager and other systems
- 6Update patient demographics and insurance information
- 7Maintain accurate patient records in VA electronic health systems
- 8Monitor appointment recalls and no-show reports
- 9Receive and process medical records into VA electronic records
- 10Collaborate with providers and staff to coordinate care
- 11Utilize Microsoft Office applications daily
Requirements10
- 1Valid government ID
- 2Citizen status
- 3High school diploma or GED
- 4Six months customer service experience
- 5Basic medical terminology knowledge
- 6Typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
- 7Computer proficiency
- 8Strong verbal and written English
- 9Ability to work independently and in teams
- 10Excellent organizational skills
