What You'll Do9
- 1Establish cultivate and maintain scientific relationships with KOLs while developing a strong understanding of clinical practice areas of interest to advance scientific and medical knowledge.
- 2Plan and execute medical strategy and engagement for assigned customers.
- 3Communicate clinical and scientific data to KOLs and healthcare professionals through presentations educational programs and scientific discussions.
- 4Serve as primary resource to provide support for addressing unsolicited medical questions and other scientific exchange matters.
- 5Identify gather and document field generated scientific insights to drive innovative Medical Affairs strategies while complying with industry and corporate policies and procedures.
- 6Maintain scientific and clinical knowledge base through continuous learning and awareness of related scientific literature to enable meaningful scientific exchange.
- 7Collaborate with field based Medical colleagues appropriate Commercial colleagues and the broader organization to provide scientific expertise and share Medical insights in support of internal and external activities.
- 8Leverage knowledge of standards of care and company/investigator sponsored clinical trials and competitor landscape to facilitate external internal research communication.
- 9Respond to unsolicited scientific inquiries of Healthcare Providers investigators health care systems academic medical centers and treatment team members integrating scientific data including real world evidence into real life practice to meet customer needs.
Requirements5
- 1MD PhD PharmD PA NP or equivalent degree preferred.
- 22+ years of industry experience as a Medical Science Liaison or 5+ years of clinical or related practical experiences in GI Liver required.
- 3Strong scientific clinical acumen.
- 4Ability to quickly understand and translate complex scientific data and realize the potential impact of that data on clinical practice and potential research needs.
- 5Travel up to 60% overnights and weekends may be required possess a valid driver’s license unless otherwise specified.
