Medical Receptionist, Endocrinology Practice
Overview
Own front-office operations for a busy endocrinology practice serving both adult and pediatric patients in Dallas. Greet patients, manage check-in/out, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification using EMR systems. Work alongside medical assistants, nurses, and providers to ensure smooth patient flow. This role offers a $300 sign-on bonus after 90 days and competitive pay of $21-$23/hour.
What You'll Do9
- 1Greet patients and families with warmth and professionalism, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- 2Check patients in and out accurately, verifying demographics and insurance details.
- 3Schedule, reschedule, and confirm appointments for both adult and pediatric patients.
- 4Answer incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries or routing clinical questions to appropriate staff.
- 5Collect copays, deductibles, and balances, and issue receipts.
- 6Update patient information in the EMR system, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- 7Assist with registration forms, referrals, and authorizations, coordinating with insurance when needed.
- 8Communicate appointment instructions and follow-up care to patients and families.
- 9Maintain a clean, organized reception area, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements9
- 1High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 21+ years of medical office or healthcare reception experience preferred.
- 3Experience with EMR systems preferred.
- 4Strong customer service and communication skills, with professional phone etiquette.
- 5Demonstrated organizational and multitasking abilities, with attention to detail.
- 6Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
- 7Comfortable interacting with children, adolescents, and adults in a healthcare setting.
- 8Ability to work effectively in a busy medical office environment.
- 9Bilingual skills a plus.
