What You'll Do6
- 1Take vitals, record patient history, and triage incoming patients during your first week.
- 2Assist with procedures such as incision and drainage, lacerations, and wound care.
- 3Administer medications via intradermal, intramuscular, and subcutaneous routes, and perform ear lavages and run EKGs.
- 4Conduct lab tests including urinalysis, urine pregnancy, blood glucose, monospot, rapid strep, influenza, and rapid HIV testing.
- 5Manage the front desk and perform receptionist duties as needed.
- 6Complete DOT certification to perform urine drug screens and breath alcohol tests.
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2Current BLS certification.
- 31+ years experience as a Medical Assistant.
- 4Phlebotomy experience required.
- 5Willingness to obtain DOT certification.
- 6Great communication skills.
