Medical Assistant Receptionist, Plastic Surgery
Overview
You will support a plastic surgeon in a high-volume aesthetic practice, handling both clinical tasks and front-office duties. The team includes a physician, nurses, and front desk staff. What You'll Do7
- 1Assist the plastic surgeon with in-office procedures, preparing rooms and patients prior to each visit.
- 2Clean and organize clinical areas, restocking supplies to keep exam rooms ready between patients.
- 3Manage front desk operations, including checking patients in and out, answering phones, and scheduling appointments.
- 4Confirm upcoming visits via phone or text, updating patient records with accuracy.
- 5Handle patient correspondence and inquiries, escalating clinical questions to the clinical team.
- 6Scan and organize medical documents, shredding confidential paperwork per office protocol.
- 7Support the team with housekeeping tasks to maintain a welcoming, professional environment.
Requirements8
- 12+ years of medical assistant experience in a plastic surgery or aesthetic practice.
- 2Active Medical Assistant certification or equivalent training.
- 3Proficiency with EHR systems and medical terminology.
- 41+ years of front desk experience, including phone etiquette and appointment scheduling.
- 5Strong customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-first mindset.
- 6Ability to multitask in a dynamic clinical environment without compromising accuracy.
- 7Professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- 8Flexibility to work part-time hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
