Medical Assistant, Outpatient Clinic & Phlebotomy in Orlando Area
Overview
Medical Assistant role supporting a busy outpatient clinic in Clermont FL with front and back-office duties. You will document vital signs, collect specimens, administer vaccines, perform EKGs and POC testing, and assist clinicians during exams. What You'll Do9
- 1Build an efficient patient flow by welcoming patients, rooming them, and providing excellent service.
- 2Document vital signs, medical histories, and patient information in EMR with accuracy.
- 3Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection to support diagnostic testing.
- 4Administer vaccines and injections under provider direction.
- 5Conduct EKGs and Point-of-Care testing as part of on-site diagnostics.
- 6Assist clinicians with examinations, treatments, and minor procedures.
- 7Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
- 8Answer phones and respond to inquiries to maintain smooth front-office operations.
- 9Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards to support quality care.
Requirements8
- 1Minimum 2 years of Medical Assistant experience including both front-office and back-office duties
- 2Phlebotomy/venipuncture experience is required
- 3Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience is required
- 4Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills
- 5Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
- 6Attention to detail and commitment to quality patient care
- 7Preferred: CMA, RMA, or equivalent certification
- 8Preferred: Occupational Health experience
