Overview
We seek a reliable organized patient‑friendly Medical Assistant to support our busy cardiology practice. This role involves greeting patients handling phone calls preparing charts and coordinating testing and procedures.
What You'll Do15
- 1Greet patients and assist with check‑in and rooming
- 2Take and document vital signs including blood pressure pulse weight and oxygen saturation
- 3Prepare patient charts before appointments and ensure records and test results are ready
- 4Update medication lists and patient information
- 5Answer incoming patient calls and document messages accurately
- 6Process medication refill requests and route them to the physician for approval
- 7Call patients back with physician‑approved information about medications symptoms test results and follow‑up instructions
- 8Escalate urgent symptoms or clinical concerns to licensed clinical staff
- 9Schedule diagnostic testing procedures follow‑up visits and referrals
- 10Coordinate cardiac clearance requests from surgeons hospitals dental offices and other facilities
- 11Track pending clearances and send completed physician‑approved documentation
- 12Assist physicians during clinic visits as needed
- 13Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- 14Help maintain smooth patient flow throughout the office
- 15Follow HIPAA infection‑control and patient‑safety policies
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons of experience in a cardiology or outpatient medical office setting
- 3CPC Card certification preferred
- 4BCBA certification preferred
- 5AWS Certified experience preferred
- 65+ years experience with electronic medical records
- 7Comfortable speaking with patients by phone
- 8Strong organizational and documentation skills
- 9Ability to handle multiple patient requests and follow‑up tasks
- 10Professional courteous communication
Salary Insight
$16 - $20k per year
