What You'll Do11

  • 1Conduct intake with patients measuring vital signs and recording medical history
  • 2Perform examinations and routine screenings addressing patient concerns
  • 3Listen critically and report changes to physicians and clinical personnel
  • 4Process patient phone calls routing them appropriately
  • 5Change dressings and apply bandages under supervision
  • 6Use CPR skills when necessary following physician guidance
  • 7Maintain OSHA safety standards and document accurately
  • 8Provide health coaching to patients supporting lifestyle choices
  • 9Follow up with coached patients through weekly calls
  • 10Travel occasionally for company meetings
  • 11Be bilingual in Spanish if possible

Requirements8

  • 1High school diploma or GED required
  • 2Minimum one year medical assistant experience
  • 3Six months phlebotomy experience preferred
  • 4Graduate from nationally accredited medical assistant program
  • 5BLS certification for healthcare providers
  • 6EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience
  • 7Experience with geriatric patients
  • 8Ability to work effectively with diverse populations
