Math and Science Tutor, After School & SAT Prep
Overview
You will own individualized tutoring for students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, working with up to three students per session. You will assess each student's learning style, build study habits, and drive measurable academic gains. The role sits on a collaborative team of tutors at Tutoring Club in Dallas, TX. You will receive paid training in our proprietary curriculum and grow through mentoring and advancement tracks. What You'll Do8
- 1Coach students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Calculus to meet their academic goals.
- 2Tutor multiple subjects per session, adapting to each student's pace and comprehension.
- 3Strengthen study habits and identify each student's optimal learning method.
- 4Motivate students who need extra encouragement, building their confidence and resilience.
- 5Work with up to three students simultaneously, ensuring each receives focused attention.
- 6Engage students with creative, energetic, and professional instruction.
- 7Keep detailed records of session progress, challenges, and breakthroughs.
- 8Drive measurable improvement in student grades and test scores within 90 days.
Requirements5
- 1Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (or currently enrolled in a degree program).
- 21+ years of previous tutoring experience; teaching experience is a plus.
- 3Reliable transportation to Dallas, TX location.
- 4Availability to work at least some shifts: Monday–Friday, 3:30–7:30 PM and Saturday, 10:30 AM–1:30 PM.
- 5Commitment to a one-year engagement with Tutoring Club.
Salary Insight
$12 - $16k per year
