Overview
Seeking a Material Handler to support production and shipping at a Detroit based facility. This full time non exempt role involves moving freight and managing inventory in a climate controlled environment. The ideal candidate will own processes and drive improvements within the warehouse team.
What You'll Do11
- 1Receive and unload freight using forklifts and pallet jacks
- 2Sign for incoming deliveries and process materials via computer terminal
- 3Wrap freight manually and with automated equipment before shipping
- 4Deliver and retrieve supplies to work or storage areas
- 5Sort and stage outbound freight for efficient shipping
- 6Use scales to weigh raw materials and incoming freight
- 7Tag material and record transactions when returning to stock
- 8Stock shelves and rotate inventory as needed
- 9Perform basic preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment
- 10Package and inspect products from production lines
- 11Notify purchasing about stock levels of specific materials
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- 36:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Thursday
- 4Prior experience with cycle counting preferred
- 55 years previous warehouse experience preferred
Salary Insight
$44 - $50k per year
