Overview

Own quality across the production lifecycle for consumer kitchen appliances at scale. Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and overseas factories to ensure safety, compliance, and performance before market release. This hands-on role focuses on physical product quality, not software QA. You will partner with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and corrective actions.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Build and implement quality standards, testing protocols, and procedures for production runs physical goods
  • 2Lead inspections of materials, components, and finished goods to identify defects and ensure specifications are met
  • 3Own issue identification early in the production cycle and drive corrective actions with factories and vendors
  • 4Develop and enforce testing plans to verify safety and regulatory compliance across regions
  • 5Bridge R&D and overseas manufacturing partners to ensure product specs are accurately executed from development through production
  • 6Maintain ongoing quality performance reporting, defect tracking, and trend analysis
  • 7Coordinate with cross-time-zone teams to align production schedules and quality expectations
  • 8Support regulatory filings and certifications as needed for market clearance
  • 9Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defect rates and improve yield

Requirements8

  • 14–8+ years of quality control experience in consumer products
  • 2MUST have experience with physical goods manufacturing (non-software)
  • 3Experience working directly with factories / overseas manufacturers
  • 4Strong understanding of product testing, safety, and compliance
  • 5Ability to interpret product specs and technical requirements
  • 6Willingness to work flexible hours to align with overseas production teams
  • 7Experience with electronics or appliance-related products is a plus
  • 8Excellent collaboration and communication skills across R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers
