Overview

You will own manufacturing processes for a local client in Austin, TX, from initial development to production release. You will work with design, test, and operations engineers to launch new products and improve existing ones. This role offers hands-on experience with DFx principles, PFMECA, and root cause analysis. You will make a direct impact on product quality and cost at $22.00/hr.

What You'll Do9

  • 1Develop methods, operation sequences, and processes for fabricating parts, components, and assemblies.
  • 2Coordinate with design engineering to release product improvements and new products.
  • 3Launch and implement engineering change requests to support operations.
  • 4Estimate manufacturing costs, set time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements.
  • 5Apply DFx principles to reduce costs and improve delivered product quality.
  • 6Develop test procedures and assist with defining test specifications with design and software engineering.
  • 7Gather operational and test data, evaluate results, and take corrective or continuous improvement actions.
  • 8Determine root cause and corrective actions for assembly or test issues, providing failure analysis reports.
  • 9Perform Process Failure Mode, Effects and Criticality Analysis for new product development.

Requirements7

  • 1Bachelor's degree required, open to recent graduates.
  • 20-2 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
  • 3Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, work in tight spaces, bend, squat, twist, kneel, reach, and lift.
  • 4Ability to distinguish between colors.
  • 5Ability to work in a noisy environment and use hand and power tools.
  • 6Willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment including coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons, and face shields when working in a clean room.
  • 7Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFx, and PFMECA preferred.
