Manager, K1 Speed Indoor Kart Racing
Overview
Oversees daily operations at a K1 Speed indoor kart racing center, ensuring the venue meets company standards for safety, service, and profitability. Manages a team of salaried and hourly staff, holding them accountable while coaching them to develop skills. Drives performance in cash handling, inventory, food and beverage, and facility upkeep. Reports directly to the General Manager and coordinates with corporate office to maintain brand image and operational excellence.
What You'll Do10
- 1Support the General Manager in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating staff
- 2Oversee cash handling: prepare tills, maintain change fund, prepare deposits, and ensure cashier adherence to procedures
- 3Monitor inventory and complete monthly counts with the General Manager
- 4Ensure track personnel run races safely, efficiently, and professionally
- 5Ensure mechanic personnel keep karts in peak working condition
- 6Enforce company policies and deliver outstanding customer service
- 7Identify performance gaps and create action plans to raise performance to K1 Speed standards
- 8Maintain proper staffing levels to maximize employee and guest experience
- 9Keep food cost, part costs, and labor costs at or below acceptable standards
- 10Respond to customer service needs within 24 hours and maintain vendor relationships
Requirements8
- 15+ years of management experience with a successful track record, preferably in restaurant, entertainment, or hospitality
- 23+ years of food and beverage experience; current ServSafe Manager Certificate is a plus
- 3High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Business or related field preferred
- 4Must be 21 years of age
- 5Able to lift up to 100 lbs with reasonable accommodation
- 6Demonstrated ability to coach and develop employees
- 7Strong cash handling and inventory management skills
- 8Excellent communication and customer service skills
