Maintenance Technician – Third Shift at Griffith Foods
Overview
We seek a skilled Maintenance Technician – Third Shift to ensure seamless production of high-quality food products. The ideal candidate will own equipment maintenance, safety compliance, and preventive upkeep across our Lithonia facility. This role drives operational efficiency while supporting our commitment to food safety and quality.
What You'll Do11
- 1Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment to identify performance issues
- 2Diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions through troubleshooting and repair
- 3Document work orders using CMMS and clean/lubricate critical machinery components
- 4Repair gauges valves pressure regulators and related hardware
- 5Maintain building infrastructure including structural integrity and piping systems
- 6Set up operate machine tools such as grinders lathes and welding equipment
- 7Fabricate machine parts jigs and tools to meet production needs
- 8Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- 9Operate forklifts or other powered industrial vehicles as required
- 10Enforce NFPA 70 LOTO and OSHA safety protocols
- 11Implement and audit BRC protocols for regulatory compliance
Requirements9
- 1Associates degree or two-year certificate in Electrical Maintenance Technician Mechatronics or equivalent OR high school diploma with three years relevant experience
- 2Three months experience in USDA regulated manufacturing environments
- 3PLC programming skills and experience with RedZone software
- 4Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds independently
- 5Fluency in reading writing and communicating technical instructions
- 6Comfortable working in confined spaces and navigating stairs ladders
- 7Certification in welding and knowledge of allergen handling procedures
- 8Valid work authorization and minimum age of 18 years
- 9Experience with electrical systems mixers fillers packaging lines and bulk delivery systems
