Maintenance Tech II - Transit Bus & Automotive Repair
Overview
You will maintain and repair a fleet of transit buses and support vehicles at a leading shared mobility company. You will work hands-on with Ford E-Series and Ford Transit vehicles, diagnosing issues and performing preventive maintenance. You will report to the Lead Technician and collaborate with a skilled team to keep our fleet safe and reliable. This role offers on-the-job training and clear paths for career growth.
What You'll Do7
- 1Inspect and repair Ford E-Series and Ford Transit buses, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- 2Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, then implement effective fixes.
- 3Document all work, including time and materials, using our maintenance tracking system.
- 4Keep the work environment clean and organized, following safety protocols at all times.
- 5Advise the Lead Technician on recurring issues or vehicle abuse, contributing to preventive strategies.
- 6Assist senior technicians with complex repairs, learning new skills and techniques.
- 7Test drive vehicles after repairs to confirm quality and safety.
Requirements6
- 13-5 years of transit bus or automotive repair experience.
- 2High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3Own a set of hand tools recommended for Class II mechanics.
- 4ASE certification is a plus.
- 5Familiarity with Ford E-Series and Ford Transit vehicles is preferred.
- 6Experience in fleet maintenance is preferred.
