Low Voltage Technician III
Overview
Mears Group, Inc. seeks a skilled Low Voltage Technician III to install service and maintain access control video management electrified locking hardware structured cabling audio/video systems at Denver Colorado location. This role drives project execution while upholding safety excellence.
What You'll Do11
- 1Install access control systems video management systems electrified locking hardware audio visual systems related field devices and system components
- 2Perform cabling installation termination using CAT5e CAT6/6A coax fiber following BICSI NEC and local standards
- 3Build organized equipment panels MDF/IDF racks patch panels wire management and network electronics
- 4Assist commissioning system testing and documentation creating accurate as-builds
- 5Use ladders lifts scaffolding and tools to work in elevated locations
- 6Maintain clear communication with supervisors colleagues and customers providing high-quality service
- 7Travel throughout Colorado with occasional out-of-state assignments
- 8Work overtime second or third shifts or irregular hours as needed
- 9Perform other duties assigned by management
- 10Follow all Mears safety policies procedures and training requirements
- 11Obtain relevant certifications such as OSHA10 CTS CEDIA BICSI CPR First Aid manufacturer certifications
Requirements14
- 12–5 years construction experience High School Diploma required college degree preferred
- 2Valid Colorado Driver's License reliable transportation and insurance
- 3Proficiency with basic computer software email word excel
- 4Willingness to obtain certifications
- 5Excellent communication customer service and organizational skills
- 6Ability to provide personal low voltage tools
- 7Self-directed independent work capability
- 8Reliable punctual adherence to processes checklists and quality requirements
- 9Physical stamina for standing walking bending kneeling climbing crawling reaching extended periods
- 10Capacity to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
- 11Manual dexterity for fine tasks
- 12Work in varied weather indoor outdoor conditions
- 13Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas
- 14Good vision balance and compliance with DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations
