Overview
The Loss Prevention Investigator protects company assets and minimizes loss across the park. This role involves identifying investigating and resolving suspicious activity as well as apprehending individuals involved in theft or policy violations. The ideal candidate maintains a high level of discretion while supporting a safe and secure environment for guests and associates.
What You'll Do14
- 1Monitor and investigate suspicious activity throughout the park
- 2Conduct audits of locations and employees to identify procedural gaps and improve compliance
- 3Recommend solutions to reduce financial loss and strengthen controls
- 4Monitor CCTV systems and register activity to ensure adherence to company policies
- 5Perform covert surveillance in areas vulnerable to theft or loss
- 6Maintain strict confidentiality and discretion in all investigations
- 7Document and log detailed reports of incidents and investigative findings
- 8Collect review and analyze accounting and operational data to identify loss trends
- 9Conduct employee interviews related to policy violations or discrepancies
- 10Support asset protection and inventory control initiatives
- 11Perform sting operations and electronic surveillance to prevent theft
- 12Investigate cases involving monitoring cash acceptance credit card fraud and other cash accepting apps
- 13Complete required reports documentation and administrative duties accurately
- 14Perform additional duties as assigned by the Loss Prevention Manager
Requirements16
- 1Must be at least 18 years of age
- 2Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 3Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- 4Full availability including days nights weekends and most holidays
- 5Ability to work opening and/or closing shifts up to 8-hour shifts preferred
- 6Flexibility to work limited hours during spring fall winter seasons
- 7Ability to work in various weather conditions heat cold rain etc.
- 8Capable lifting to 25 lbs
- 9Able to sit stand and walk for extended periods
- 10Pass a comprehensive background check including criminal and credit history
- 11High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred
- 12Previous Loss Prevention or security experience preferred
- 13Commitment to providing excellent support to guests and fellow team members
- 14Minimum 18 year of age with a valid drivers license
- 15Must be able to obtain a South Carolina Law Enforcement Certification
- 16Must pass a drug screening
