Own the breast imaging service at an outpatient practice near Tampa, Florida, with a weekday-only schedule and no call. You'll read screening and diagnostic mammograms, perform ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies, and work in a productivity-based environment with defined daily expectations. What You'll Do8
- 1Interpret screening mammograms and diagnostic mammograms in an outpatient setting, delivering accurate reads within daily targets.
- 2Perform ultrasound-guided breast biopsies and stereotactic breast biopsies with precision, documenting results per protocol.
- 3Drive the diagnostic workup of abnormal findings, coordinating with technologists and referring physicians to ensure timely follow-up.
- 4Manage the daily imaging schedule to meet productivity expectations, balancing screening volumes with interventional procedures.
- 5Communicate results to patients and referring clinicians, explaining next steps in a clear and compassionate manner.
- 6Adhere to MQSA quality standards, maintaining equipment certifications and participating in quality assurance reviews.
- 7Document all procedures and interpretations in the EMR, ensuring compliance with regulatory and billing requirements.
- 8Collaborate with radiologists and support staff to streamline workflow and address complex cases as they arise.
Requirements9
- 1MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- 2Board Certified in Radiology by the American Board of Radiology (or equivalent).
- 3MQSA certification required, with current status documented.
- 4Active Florida medical license or IMLC Letter of Qualification (willing to obtain).
- 55+ years experience in breast imaging, including interventional procedures.
- 6Proficiency in ultrasound-guided and stereotactic breast biopsies.
- 7Ability to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., no call or weekends.
- 8Strong communication skills for patient and physician interactions.
- 9Eligibility to obtain hospital privileges as needed.
