Litigation Docketing Specialist Temporary
Overview
The role owns litigation deadline management and calendaring support at a national law firm. Candidates must work remotely on West Coast hours to help reduce backlogs and assist attorneys. This position offers immediate impact and flexible scheduling.
What You'll Do11
- 1Enter maintain and update litigation deadlines, court dates, and case information in CompuLaw Vision
- 2Calculate and calendar deadlines for California state courts federal courts and administrative agencies
- 3Review court filings orders correspondence and case team requests to determine applicable deadlines
- 4Prepare and distribute deadline reports for attorney and staff review
- 5Respond to inquiries regarding court rules filing deadlines and calendaring procedures
- 6Conduct jurisdictional and court rule research and provide concise summaries to legal teams
- 7Perform quality control reviews to ensure calendaring accuracy and compliance with firm procedures
- 8Escalate complex docketing issues to senior team members and management as needed
- 9Support attorneys and litigation teams by ensuring deadlines are tracked and maintained accurately
- 10Assist with workload surges and overtime requirements as necessary
- 11Maintain high-volume workload with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 2+ years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm environment
- 2CompuLaw Vision experience required
- 3California state court docketing experience required
- 4Strong knowledge of litigation procedures court rules and legal terminology
- 5Ability to manage a high-volume workload with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 7Experience with additional rules-based calendaring systems including Milana or similar platforms
- 8Previous large law firm experience
- 9Paralegal certificate bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
