What You'll Do8
- 1Cook menu items from recipes to production standards, nailing flavor and texture every batch.
- 2Portion meals to spec, hitting weight and consistency targets for every container.
- 3Prep ingredients by chopping, measuring, and batch cooking components for the next shift.
- 4Keep your station clean and organized, sanitizing surfaces and tools throughout the shift.
- 5Follow food safety protocols, checking temperatures and rotating stock with FIFO.
- 6Monitor food quality and freshness, flagging any issues to the head chef.
- 7Meet daily production deadlines by pacing your work and communicating with the team.
- 8Assist with meal packaging and closing duties, leaving the kitchen ready for the next shift.
Requirements6
- 11+ years as a line cook, prep cook, or in a commercial kitchen.
- 2Comfort in a fast-paced kitchen, handling multiple orders at once.
- 3Strong attention to detail, measuring ingredients and following written recipes exactly.
- 4Reliable with punctual attendance, especially for early morning shifts.
- 5Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- 6Food handler certification or willingness to obtain one.
