Overview
We seek a dedicated female caregiver to support a male client with intellectual disabilities who is nonverbal and highly active. The ideal candidate will lead daily community engagements such as park visits recreation center programs and outdoor walks. You will design and deliver engaging educational activities while fostering independence through visual cues and gestures. This role emphasizes safety structure and consistent positive reinforcement within a supportive agency environment.
What You'll Do7
- 1Participate in daily community activities including parks recreation centers and events
- 2Provide fun active and educational experiences aligned with client interests
- 3Support communication using gestures visual cues or sign language
- 4Encourage independence social interaction and safe participation
- 5Maintain a patient positive and structured environment
- 6Ensure safety during all outings and transitions
- 7Complete documentation following agency and APD standards
Requirements6
- 1Reliable vehicle for daily community outings
- 2Valid Florida driver’s license
- 3Level 2 background screening completed
- 4Experience with developmental disabilities preferred
- 5Ability to walk lift and remain active throughout shift
