Licensed Practical Nurse Orlando School Contract
Overview
We seek a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver one-on-one care in a school setting within the Orlando Public School system. You will support student health needs by providing medical care as directed by physicians. This contract role offers a unique chance to make a direct impact on children's daily lives.
What You'll Do9
- 1Provide one-on-one nursing care to students during daytime school hours
- 2Manage medical emergencies and resolve health incidents following established protocols
- 3Assess student conditions and document findings accurately
- 4Collaborate with school staff to ensure comprehensive student support
- 5Maintain up-to-date patient records and communicate changes to relevant parties
- 6Participate in preventive health initiatives and wellness programs
- 7Support chronic condition management for students with ongoing medical needs
- 8Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and school policies
- 9Develop individualized care plans in coordination with school nurses and physicians
Requirements7
- 15+ years experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- 2Certified in Basic Life Support
- 3Completed fingerprinting and background checks with OCPS
- 4Valid Florida nursing license
- 5Current resume submission
- 6Proof of current BLS certification
- 7All required immunizations and health screenings
