What You'll Do11

  • 1Draft review and redline deal memos, license agreements, amendments, renewals, extensions, NDAs, and vendor contracts
  • 2Prepare deal summaries translating legal language into clear commercial terms for leadership
  • 3Track and flag contractual obligations such as territory, channel, and royalty requirements
  • 4Shepherd agreements end‑to‑end through approval negotiation execution and filing
  • 5Maintain contract lifecycle systems like Monday.com and manage obligation calendars
  • 6Conduct trademark and brand clearance research using USPTO and other tools
  • 7Partner with design teams to review artwork for copyright trade dress and design patent risks
  • 8Review product designs and packaging for IP conflicts before sell‑in
  • 9Manage trademark docket status and coordinate with outside counsel on renewals and maintenance
  • 10Support copyright registration and recordkeeping for original artwork and patterns
  • 11Serve as primary contact for contract status and proactive deadline alerts

Requirements12

  • 1Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • 20–3 years of relevant legal experience including transactions or IP work
  • 3Coursework or clinical focus in contracts licensing or trademark law
  • 4Strong contract drafting and redlining abilities
  • 5Excellent written verbal communication for non‑legal audiences
  • 6Interest in consumer brands design or retail environments
  • 7Ability to conduct independent trademark database searches and present findings clearly
  • 8Highly organized detail‑oriented professional who owns processes
  • 9Proactive self‑starter comfortable leading initiatives without direction
  • 10Adaptable to shifting priorities across multiple clients
  • 11Proficient with MS Word redlining and workflow management systems
  • 12Portfolio of writing samples required
