Ethos Veterinary Health seeks a full-time Neurology Lead Veterinary Technician in Seattle. What You'll Do11
- 1Floor Leadership, Workflow & Team Management: Spend each shift working directly on the floor alongside the team providing hands-on support and ensuring adherence to the highest standards of care and service.
- 2Resource Utilization & Scheduling: Manage team resources to optimize daily workflow and patient care by building and adjusting staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage for workload.
- 3Shift Huddles & Daily Priorities: Organize brief focused huddles to set task priorities align skills with patient care demands and maintain efficient shift operations.
- 4Coaching & Conflict Resolution: Provide continuous guidance floor coaching and resolve interpersonal conflicts in the moment to foster a cohesive environment.
- 5Alignment & Communication: Communicate daily goals and hospital initiatives to the team track performance maintain interdepartmental communication and provide regular updates on team progress to leadership.

- 7Clinical Operations & Patient Care: Perform all aspects of led positions adapting to changing expectations and anticipate patient discomfort ensuring animals are kept clean and comfortable while alerting attending neurologists to condition changes.
- 8Procedures & Anesthesia: Perform and assist in specialized neurology procedures calculate drug dosages accurately legally administer medications and coordinate anesthesia for neurology patients as needed.
- 9Laboratory & Diagnostics: Proficiently perform non-subjective laboratory testing and subjective diagnostic testing obtain radiographs following safety guidelines.
- 10Client Service: Actively update clients on hospitalized pets status gather intake history and handle inquiries professionally.
- 11Training, Protocols & Operations: Implement and maintain consistent training programs create update and maintain SOPs check equipment availability troubleshoot issues and report maintenance needs.
Requirements13
- 1High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2Associate or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- 3Certification: Licensed Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Nurse preferred.
- 4Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a veterinary specialty or emergency hospital required with 2+ years in specialty care preferred.
- 5Strong clinical knowledge of neurology nursing patient restraint and procedural support.
- 6Excellent leadership coaching and conflict resolution abilities.
- 7Ability to problem-solve make sound decisions and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- 8Computer literacy with proficiency in standard office software and veterinary hospital management applications.
- 9Availability to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays.
- 10Physical stamina to stand 60% of an 8-hour shift walk up to 50% and sit 40% with repetitive hand movements bending squatting kneeling and reaching above shoulder level.
- 11Continuous lifting up to 10 lbs and frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- 12Corrected speech vision touch and hearing near normal with close visual acuity for data analysis transcription and computer use.
- 13Exposure to cleaning agents electrical currents and hazards requiring PPE such as radiation safety gear chemo gowns and nitrile gloves.
