Stuut-Ai seeks a Lead Software Engineer in Test to architect and drive automated testing strategy for a rapidly growing accounts receivable platform. The ideal candidate will own test automation frameworks, improve pipeline reliability, and mentor engineering teams to deliver high-quality releases. This hands-on leadership role focuses on scaling test ecosystems across modern tech stacks while fostering a quality-first culture.
What You'll Do11
- 1Set the Quality & Automation Strategy: define long-term vision for automated testing including frameworks tooling coverage strategy and quality gates
- 2Build & Scale Automation Frameworks: design and implement robust maintainable automation across integration UI and end-to-end layers
- 3Drive Test Coverage Planning: lead test planning with product squads ensuring critical functionality is identified prioritized and automated effectively
- 4Stabilize Pipelines & Reduce Flakiness: own health speed and reliability of test pipelines leading efforts to reduce flaky tests and strengthen feedback loops
- 5Architect & Maintain Test Environments: collaborate with Infrastructure to build scalable realistic test environments aligned with customer use cases
- 6Improve Developer Velocity: optimize CI/CD test stages reduce cycle times and introduce automation tooling that accelerates safe deployments
- 7Automate New Feature Testing: partner with engineering teams throughout development lifecycle to define test strategy and build automation for new features
- 8Lead Root Cause Analysis & Triage: guide teams through systematic debugging of failures ensuring issues are resolved at their true source
- 9Influence Engineering Quality Culture: promote strong testing patterns testability principles and quality-first thinking across teams
- 10Mentor & Level Up the Team: coach engineers in automation best practices framework design troubleshooting and quality ownership
- 11Collaborate with Product Backend Frontend and DevOps Teams: elevate quality and reliability in fast-moving environment
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading test automation initiatives
- 35+ years experience with Python and TypeScript/JavaScript
- 43-5 years working with Playwright Cypress or pytest
- 52-5 years expertise in FastAPI Vue.js and event-driven systems
- 61 year implementing CI/CD optimizations using Turborepo Docker Vercel and AWS EKS
- 73+ years managing cloud-native infrastructure (AWS Kubernetes RDS PostgreSQL) and testing distributed systems
- 82+ years translating product requirements into executable test strategies across multiple stack layers
- 91+ years mentoring engineering teams in automation best practices and framework design
- 10Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and optimization techniques for speed signal and stability
