Lead Patient Services Associate, Neurology Front Desk
Overview
Lead Patient Services Associate owns patient arrival and departure for Neurology outpatient visits at Jefferson's Center City location. You mentor and train a front-desk team, verify insurance, referrals, and demographics, and keep patient flow moving to exam rooms. Working in EPIC every day, you are the first point of contact for patients and visitors. This role pairs hands-on patient interaction with leadership responsibilities, shaping the Jefferson Experience for every patient who walks in.
What You'll Do8
- 1Greet and check in patients via EPIC during the first 90 days, ensuring accurate demographics and insurance verification.
- 2Train and mentor new Patient Services Associates on check-in, checkout, and scheduling workflows.
- 3Escalate patient or provider concerns to keep the practice running smoothly.
- 4Process point-of-service payments and schedule follow-up appointments in EPIC.
- 5Maintain HIPAA privacy and security during every patient interaction.
- 6Coordinate daily front-desk operations and assign tasks to team members.
- 7Answer phones and handle patient inquiries with professional courtesy.
- 8Support compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements6
- 13+ years of patient healthcare experience.
- 2High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3Ability to lift and carry 40-50 lbs and push/pull patients on beds or stretchers.
- 4Frequent to continuous standing and walking.
- 5Proficiency with EPIC or similar EHR systems.
- 6Experience training or mentoring other staff.
