Overview
The Lead Business Analyst – Actuarial Commercial Lines will own data strategy and platform development within the Global Data Office. This role translates complex actuarial requirements into actionable specifications while driving agile delivery and stakeholder alignment. What You'll Do9
- 1Lead deep structured requirement sessions with senior actuaries to define functional specifications
- 2Facilitate alignment across actuaries and Data Office teams on project priorities and timelines
- 3Act as Business Analyst Lead facilitating user story refinement and sprint ceremonies
- 4Translate actuarial modeling needs into user stories epics and acceptance criteria
- 5Ensure compliance with data standards and maintain documentation for lineage and testing
- 6Own Agile backlog management and lead daily scrums
- 7Drive data governance initiatives and quality assurance processes
- 8Collaborate with data engineers to build and deploy analytical tools and platforms
- 9Provide global perspective on data infrastructure and warehouse product ownership
Requirements9
- 17+ years business analysis experience in actuarial tool design within insurance sector
- 2Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science computer science data analytics mathematics
- 3Strong understanding of commercial insurance reserving pricing and risk assessment concepts
- 4Proven experience with ETL visualization tools and cloud platforms like AWS
- 5Agile product ownership credentials such as CPC Card or BCBA preferred
- 6Excellent communication skills translating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- 7Leadership experience managing Agile teams and product backlogs
- 8Demonstrated track record of delivering data platform projects on schedule
- 9Familiarity with Spark Airflow and data warehousing best practices
