Overview
The on‑site Landscape Specialist will independently oversee landscape contracts, tree and palm programs, and mulch services to ensure vendor compliance and document daily performance. This role drives operational excellence across Tampa properties while collaborating with board members and vendors.
What You'll Do11
- 1Utilize Microsoft suite products Excel Outlook Teams Word iAuditor digital inspections or similar software
- 2Conduct daily inspections of Association landscaping noting contract variances and quality deficiencies
- 3Meet with Board Members or designated points of contact to address specific needs and assess vendor satisfaction
- 4Partner with vendors to deliver outstanding service and maintain timely landscape delivery
- 5Act as liaison between landscape vendors and board members
- 6Prepare weekly landscape grading scores based on defined criteria
- 7Track and follow up on landscaping work orders using the assigned system
- 8Organize receive prepare and securely file reports and records
- 9Facilitate proper workflow for documents and information
- 10Supervise crew members and ensure compliance with maintenance requirements for Florida turfgrass trees and ornamentals
- 11Drive improvements in vendor performance through corrective actions
Requirements10
- 1High school diploma or GED with active driver’s license
- 2Prefer FNGLA certification or equivalent landscaping accreditation
- 3Specific knowledge of Florida turfgrass strains plant trees and ornamental landscaping maintenance
- 4Proficiency in mowing edging pruning arbor care pest control irrigation and fertilization
- 5Direct experience leading residential commercial landscaping crews
- 6Ability to read and interpret contracts
- 7Strong physical stamina to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk/bend/kneel for extended periods
- 8Experience with work order systems and reporting
- 9Exposure to field conditions including weather elements and vehicle travel
- 10Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA guidelines
Salary Insight
$49 - $73k per year
