Laboratory Technician, Clinical Trials at Eurofins
Overview
You will own specimen management, pipetting, and instrument operation in a clinical trial lab supporting Eurofins' global network. You will work under a lab supervisor, follow SOPs, and log results into LIMS. Your work keeps clinical trial samples accurate, safe, and compliant. You will join a team of 58,000 staff across 900 labs, with a culture of decentralized entrepreneurship.
What You'll Do8
- 1Examine samples for validity and completeness, checking sample type and volume.
- 2Pipette specimens with high accuracy and precision using automated and manual platforms.
- 3Operate, calibrate, and maintain lab equipment and instruments per SOPs to ensure quality results.
- 4Prepare reagents and materials for testing, and maintain inventory of supplies.
- 5Enter data into LIMS and label, deliver, retrieve, and re-file samples for testing.
- 6Document troubleshooting, quality assurance, and instrument maintenance activities.
- 7Adhere to processing timelines and proper short-term and long-term specimen storage.
- 8Clean lab areas and assist with general lab duties, including compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements9
- 1BS or BA in Biological, Physical, or Chemical Science, or related field with 16 hours in biology and chemistry and 3 hours in math.
- 21+ year of data entry experience preferred.
- 3Clinical laboratory experience or formal training with potentially infectious human blood or bodily fluids preferred.
- 4Skill in aseptic techniques and work with automated and manual lab platforms.
- 5Intermediate PC software proficiency, including database skills.
- 6Ability to read and comply with SOPs, operating instructions, and company policies.
- 7Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- 8Physical ability to stand 4+ hours, lift up to 15 pounds, and use a keyboard and phone.
- 9Authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
