Overview
The Kitchen Manager will own daily kitchen operations for a catering and food service company. This role requires leading a diverse kitchen team while ensuring quality consistency and efficiency. Successful candidates will maintain high culinary standards control food and labor costs and support catering events and daily meal production.
What You'll Do16
- 1Manage daily kitchen production prep schedules and event execution
- 2Ensure all food meets company standards for quality taste and presentation
- 3Oversee proper food handling storage labeling and rotation FIFO
- 4Maintain cleanliness organization of kitchen storage and equipment areas
- 5Supervise train and schedule kitchen staff including prep cooks line cooks and dish staff
- 6Enforce kitchen policies safety procedures and performance expectations
- 7Lead by example with professionalism teamwork and accountability
- 8Assist with onboarding and ongoing staff development
- 9Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company food safety standards
- 10Maintain ServSafe and ensure staff follow proper sanitation practices
- 11Prepare for and assist with health inspections
- 12Monitor food usage waste and portion control to assist with ordering receiving and inventory management
- 13Control food and labor costs while maintaining quality
- 14Coordinate kitchen execution for catering events and large-scale orders
- 15Work closely with management on menus timelines and staffing needs
- 16Ensure accurate packing labeling and quality control for off-site events
Requirements10
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons managing teams in fast-paced environments
- 3CPC Card certification preferred
- 4BCBA certification required
- 5AWS Certified experience needed
- 6Food safety expertise with ServSafe certification
- 7Proven ability to lead diverse kitchen teams
- 8Strong organizational skills for managing complex operations
- 9Experience with inventory management systems
- 10Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
