Junior Mortgage Loan Officer, Tampa FL (NMLS)
Overview
As a Junior Mortgage Loan Officer, you will own the full loan origination process for FHA, VA, USDA, and conventional products at our Tampa office. You will structure files, pre-qualify borrowers, and manage pipelines from initial application to closing. You will join a high-growth team with 5+ years of experience, and you will report directly to a seasoned origination manager. This role offers significant advancement potential for a candidate with NMLS licensure or pre-licensure training.
What You'll Do7
- 1Take loan applications and structure files across conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA products.
- 2Pre-qualify borrowers by reviewing credit, income, and assets with DU and LP.
- 3Build and maintain referral relationships with realtors, builders, and past clients to generate new business.
- 4Manage loan files in coordination with in-house processing and underwriting through closing.
- 5Maintain accurate and compliant loan documentation in the LOS and CRM.
- 6Communicate with borrowers, realtors, and title companies to ensure smooth transactions.
- 7Meet production goals and adhere to regulatory guidelines for RESPA, TILA, and TRID.
Requirements6
- 1Mortgage industry experience in origination, processing, or underwriting, or completion of the NMLS 20-hour pre-licensing course.
- 2Active Florida NMLS mortgage loan originator license, or eligibility to obtain one within 60 days.
- 3Ability to work on-site in Tampa five days per week.
- 4Experience with loan origination systems and CRM software.
- 5Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- 6Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
