Overview
Java Lead owning technical coordination and delivery for a 6-8 person offshore team at Digipulse Technologies in Boston. You'll pair Spring Boot API development with hands-on AWS integration, while steering priorities across time zones. This role requires 4 days onsite and immediate start, with a preference for C2C candidates who can move fast.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead a 6-8 developer offshore team, assigning tasks and reviewing Java code for quality.
- 2Design and build REST APIs with Spring Boot, integrating AWS services like S3 and Lambda.
- 3Coordinate daily standups and sprint planning, aligning offshore work with local business goals.
- 4Debug production issues in Java applications, tracing root causes through logs and metrics.
- 5Drive code reviews and enforce best practices for API design and documentation.
- 6Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into technical tasks for the team.
- 7Optimize database queries and application performance in MySQL or PostgreSQL environments.
- 8Mentor junior developers on Java patterns and Spring Boot conventions.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in Java development, with 2+ years leading a team.
- 2Strong Spring Boot experience building microservices and REST APIs.
- 3Hands-on AWS knowledge: EC2, S3, Lambda, or similar.
- 4Proven ability to coordinate offshore teams across time zones.
- 5Excellent communication skills for client-facing and internal discussions.
- 6Local to Boston and available for 4 days onsite weekly.
- 7Immediate availability, with C2C strongly preferred.
- 8Bonus: Angular or React frontend exposure.
Salary Insight
