IslandWood seeks a high energy individual to maintain cleanliness across its facilities ensuring guest comfort and safety. The role supports hospitality staff by handling event setups and daily cleaning tasks. This position offers flexible part time wages and benefits on the bainbridge island campus.
What You'll Do6
- 1Assist with event setups and breakdowns including lifting and moving furniture
- 2Perform event cleaning routine cleaning and occasional deep cleaning projects
- 3Manage scheduled turnovers and cleaning of classrooms bathrooms dining rooms and other buildings
- 4Clean mopping window cleaning and waste removal recycling separation
- 5Communicate inventory and equipment status to the hospitality services manager
- 6Provide campus security and nightly lock-up of buildings evening emergency assistance
Requirements8
- 1Minimum of 6 months experience of professional janitor work in the hospitality industry
- 2Ability to understand and follow safety guidelines
- 3Physically able to walk stand bend twist kneel stoop climb ladders and stairs
- 4Use hand tools and push lift and carry up to 70 pounds
- 5Washington state driver license and ability to obtain any required licenses
- 6Commitment to support islandwoods work towards equity diversity and inclusion
- 7Maintain a drug free work environment
- 8Pass child safety screening procedure post offer
