IP Litigation Associate Partner
Overview
Lead complex patent trademark copyright and trade secret disputes for innovative clients across multiple industries. Manage litigation from pre-suit investigations through appeal while delivering strong advocacy outcomes.
What You'll Do8
- 1Manage intellectual property litigation matters through all phases including pre-suit investigations pleadings discovery motion practice trial and appeal
- 2Handle patent trademark copyright and trade secret disputes in federal courts and administrative forums
- 3Draft and argue dispositive motions claim construction briefs and other substantive filings
- 4Take and defend fact and expert witness depositions
- 5Develop and execute case strategy including damages analysis and expert coordination
- 6Work directly with clients in-house counsel and technical experts
- 7Supervise and mentor junior attorneys and litigation support teams
- 8Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management efforts
Requirements9
- 1J.D. from an accredited law school active bar membership in good standing
- 25-8+ years of intellectual property litigation experience
- 3Strong academic credentials and excellent legal writing research and oral advocacy skills
- 4Experience managing sophisticated litigation matters with increasing responsibility
- 5Preferred patent litigation and technology-related dispute experience
- 6Trial arbitration or appellate experience
- 7Prior work before PTAB TTAB or ITC
- 8Technical degree or industry-specific intellectual property expertise
- 9Portable business or demonstrated client development experience for partner-level candidates
Salary Insight
$280 - $375k per year
