Overview
We seek an Intermediate Welder to lead production on the 1st shift at PDS Tech Commercial. This role drives quality productivity through skilled welding and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do11
- 1Assist entry level welders in reading blueprints to determine fixture usage and procedures
- 2Perform MIG TIG and resistance welding as assigned
- 3Grind spatter remove and handle other operational duties
- 4Layout fabricate metal components for structural assemblies
- 5Maintain efficiency standards within three months
- 6Drive part accuracy using weld length pitch and size measurements
- 7Act as change agent influencing peers on the shop floor
- 8Utilize equipment to meet print tolerances and reduce scrap
- 9Focus on continuous improvement initiatives
- 10Lead welding process changes to enhance productivity
- 11Ensure compliance with safety protocols during operations
Requirements8
- 1High school diploma or technical degree with two years welding experience
- 2Five years welding experience without degree
- 3Pass Tennant Welding Assessment Test
- 4Two years general sheet metal training or vocational background
- 5Legally authorized to work in the United States
- 6Physical ability to lift forty pounds and stand continuously
- 7Close distance vision depth perception and manual dexterity
- 8Experience with AWS certified welding practices
