Insurance Sales Trainee, Auto & Home Coverage
Overview
You'll sell Auto, Home, Business, and Life insurance to clients across Illinois, building a book of business from day one. You'll join a collaborative team of 5 producers and report to the agency owner, with direct mentorship from day one. This role stands out because you'll get paid training, licensing support, and a path to management within 12 months.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build customized insurance packages for Auto, Home, Business, and Life clients, closing your first sale within 30 days.
- 2Prospect new clients through referrals and networking, adding 10+ leads weekly to the pipeline.
- 3Conduct risk assessments to match coverage to client needs, using CRM tools to track interactions.
- 4Negotiate policy terms with carriers, securing the best rates for clients and boosting retention.
- 5Hit monthly sales targets, earning performance bonuses tied to agency goals.
- 6Collaborate with team members on joint calls and share best practices in weekly meetings.
- 7Complete state licensing coursework within 60 days, with employer-covered costs.
- 8Maintain client relationships through scheduled check-ins, renewing 80% of policies.
Requirements6
- 11+ years in sales or client-facing roles, such as retail, banking, or hospitality.
- 2Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated in interviews or past roles.
- 3Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals, with examples from work or school.
- 4Must live in Illinois and be willing to obtain IL Life & Health License within 90 days.
- 5Self-driven and coachable, with a competitive attitude and a desire for long-term career growth.
